A classic recipe, but delicious tellemnt to use small pears a bit harsh.
Ingredients: 1 kg
small firm pears
1 bottle red wine 1 orange
untreated
75 g sugar 1 vanilla pod
Spices: 1 stick of cinnamon - pinch 4 spices - 2 cloves - a pinch of ginger
Peel pears, leaving them whole
Pour the wine into a large saucepan, add sugar, vanilla, spices and sliced orange. Add pears.
Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
can add a dash of blackcurrant cream after cooking.
Cool pears in syrup and serve chilled
